Volunteerism & Community Service

During my career as a high school student, I participated in numerous community service activities in my town in Somers, NY.

local events

As part of my Boy Scout troop, I participated in many town improvement and fundraising events. For example, every Fall, I assisted with a major tournament called SoccerFest. A portion of the proceeds from this event went on to help local Scouts in need.

Concession Stand

As a member of my school's Student Council organization, I helped maintain and operate the concession stand. Our club sold drinks and snacks at most sporting events in order to raise money for activities that would benefit the entire high school.

Trails

Angle Fly is a 654 acre tract of land in my town that was saved from local development and turned into a nature preserve. I assisted in its transformation which required the construction of numerous trails as well as the continual removal of many invasive plant species.
